Biografie

Francisco Martí Hernández

Born in Yecla, Spain. At the age of five years old he starts his piano studies in individual lessons with the teacher María Ángel Soria. Later on he continues his studies in the Villena’s Conservatory of music, in Alicante, where he finishes his intermediate studies with the highest marks. In the year 2014 he pursues his Bachelor studies at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya, in Barcelona, as a student of Jean-François Dichamp and also attending lessons by Luca Chiantore. In 2018 he ends his studies at this music school with high marks.

In 2016 he got a second prize at the piano competition organized by the Escola Superior de Catalunya. From 2016 to 2017 he receives a scholarship to spend a year in Stuttgart as a student of the teacher Nicolas Hodges, in the frame of the Erasmus program. This experience allowed him to realise some performances in this country, some of them in contemporary music ensembles conducted by Christof Löser. He also took part in 2017 in the Junge Deutsche Philarmonie’s tournee conducted by Jukka Pekka Saraste.

He has taken part four times in the International Summer Academy of contemporary music organized by the Ensemble Linea in Strasbourg, France, being selected as guest artist for the 2018 edition.

Currently he assists the Contemporary music program through non-western techniques at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, in the Netherlands, working also as accompanist pianist around Europe.
