Biografie

María Cristina González was born in Jaén (Andalucía), Spain, and started her musical education when she was 10 years old.

She has just graduated from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where she obtained her Bachelor diploma with Vincent Cortvrint (KCO) and her Master diploma in Classical Music and Early Music with Kersten Mccall ( flute soloist of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra) and Marten Root.

Besides her education at the CvA, she has participated in masterclasses with flutist such as Jacques Zoon, Felix Rengli, Harrie Starreveld, Davide Formisano, Marc Hantai, Kate Clarke, Robert Dick, Alexis Kossenko, Leon Berendse, Javier Castiblanque, Magdalena Matínez and Alvaro Octavio Díaz

Over the past few years, Maria Cristina has been collaborating with important Dutch and international orquestras/ensembles, like the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Philharmonie Zuidnederland, Orkest van het Oosten, Het Nieuw Ensemble, Nederland Bachverening, Metropole Orkest, Linos Ensemble or the Ensemble Resonanz, among others.
