Biografie

Yolanda was born in Surabaya, Indonesia on 10 October 1994. She began her classical piano lessons when she was three and a half years old. At the age of five, under the guidance of Brigifine Ediansyah Syams, she began to further enhance her knowledge of playing piano. Under Brigifine’s guidance, she won various prizes in Regional and National Piano Competition. In 2009, She finished Diploma ABRSM at the age of fifteen. Since the beginning of her piano lessons, she also joined the Yamaha Music System and finished grade 5 in 2010. After she graduated from high school, under the guidance of Brigifine and Hendrata Prasetya she began her preparation to continue her studies at Conservatory. In May 2013, She was accepted in Conservatorium van Amsterdam where she began her Bachelor Piano Classic study under the guidance of Frank Peters. During her study in Amsterdam, she also plays chamber music as a trio with clarinet and violin, also as a duo lied. Just this January 2016, she participated in a – project under the guidance of Alexander Oliver, Pierre Mak, David Bollen, and Jan-Paul Grijpink, performing Liebeslieder Walzer op.52 by Brahms for voices and four hands in Muziekgebouw as a pre-concert.
