Biografie

Viktor Čižić (Zagreb, 1996) is a classical piano student from Zagreb, Croatia.

Much of his musical output revolves around contemporary music, improvisation and stage performance, trying also to find ’the new’ in ’the old’.

His repertoire always seeks integrity, often abandoning the orthodoxy of programming, for the sake of concept – or keeping the thrill.

The choice of underplayed or obscure pieces and composers only further humanizes the experience of listening, making it truthful and authentic.

Viktor is finishing his studies at the Zagreb Academy of Music (Croatia), studying with doc. art. Filip Fak.

Currently he studies in the Netherlands as an exchange student at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, with profs. Frank van de Laar and Ralph van Raat.

He performed A. Schnittke’s Piano Concerto with The Zagreb Soloists string orchestra, as well as collaborated on many projects with other professional Croatian orchestras.

He is an active member of Turangalila Quartet and ASMANGU new music ensemble, keeping close professional ties with numerous other musicians and ensembles.
