Biografie
Elisa Misas Santín was born in the year 2000 and started playing viola at the age of 7 in C.E.M Rafael Taboada.
Elisa continued her studies in R.C.P.M Manuel de Falla (Cádiz) under Eva Navarro’s teaching, accompanying her last two years in Cádiz with the orchestral studies academy Barenboim-Saïd with teacher Jerome Ireland.
At the age of 17, she started her bachelor studies in the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with Sven Arne Tepl, Judith Wijzenbeek and Francien Schatborn.
Until the date, she has experimented great orchestral activity collaborating with Orquesta Joven de Andalucía, the orchestra of Barenboim-Saïd’s academy and Joven Orquesta Barroca de Sevilla, in between others. She has also collaborated with professional Orquesta Barroca of Sevilla.
Elisa obtained a second prize in the soloist modality of R.C.P.M Manuel de Falla’s competition. She counts with a few other prizes in the chamber music field such as: First prize in Maassluis Competition together with the Sphere Quartet, or a third prize with Vibass Duo in R.C.P.M Manuel de Falla’s competition.
She has received masterclasses from great teachers such as like Jonathan Brown, Joaquín Riquelme, Laure Gaudron, Nobuko Imai or Bruno Giuranna. Elisa plays a Czech viola from the year 1994 by the luthier Jan B. Spidlen, borrowed from the Nationaal Muziekinstrumenten Fonds.
